BBQ, BLACKSBURG & HOKIES

That’s where the Log Cabin BBQ story begins. Two 1994 Virginia Tech graduates loved hickory smoked barbecue and the home of the Hokies. In 2008, they got the chance to combine the things they love and created Log Cabin BBQ, the New River Valley’s premier headquarters for genuine hickory smoked barbecue and professional service with a small town feel.

Today Log Cabin BBQ is owned and operated by Brett and Jill Wolfe, who are continuing that tradition of great barbecue and southern hospitality. Brett, a Virginia Tech graduate, and Jill, a Radford University graduate, grew up in Marion, VA. Being raised in Southwest Virginia taught them both the importance of great food and southern hospitality.  Upon graduating college they left the area to live in Raleigh, NC  for a couple years only to realize that their hearts belonged to Southwest Virginia, specifically the New River Valley.  After moving back they became fans of Log Cabin BBQ and frequently visited the restaurant.

When the opportunity to own the Cabin came about, Brett and Jill jumped at the chance. They bring to the Cabin their passion for great food, great customer service, and a sense of giving back to the local community – a philosophy Brett learned from his grandfather, who owned Hungry Mother Grocery in Marion, VA.

Our mission is to give you guys great food and southern hospitality you can count on every time you come to the Cabin. We buy only the best cuts of meat, slowly smoke them over 100% hickory, and make seven homemade sauces to bring out the flavor.

What sets us apart from the rest of the places in town is that we provide the highest quality food, service, and all around barbecue experience for our customers. We believe barbecue is a something we share together, so whether you stop by for a meal or to pick something up for a party, we know you’ll get some good food, a story or two, and an experience to remember.
